Dog-Friendly Activities in Wrightwood

Morning

Angeles National Forest
The Angeles National Forest is more than 650,000 acres of outdoor space, just ready for exploration. It includes the San Gabriel Wilderness Area and varies in terrain. From 1,200 feet to over 10,000 feet in elevation, the forest is dense with lush pines, well-traveled hiking trails, hidden lakes and beautiful natural landscapes. Similar to the neighboring San Bernardino National Forest, it’s a great destination to hike, fish, swim and enjoy “California’s outdoor playground.”

A nearby hiking trail is Blue Ridge Trail. Round trip, the hike is a little more than 4-miles. It has several areas of high incline, but is an overall easy scenic trek. Depending on the time of year, you could see a full bloom of colorful wildflowers.
