Big Pine Flat

 

Cactus Flat OHV Staging Area

This area offers about 10 miles of designated OHV trails.
The trail is mostly hard packed and rugged with narrow switchbacks.
The trail ties into Forest Service Road Crab Flats, which eventually connects to the Lake Arrowhead Trails.

  Off of Highway 18, north of Big Bear and south of Lucerne Valley. There is a vault toilet and a couple of picnic tables at the staging area along with ample parking and informational signs.  Camping is allowed, but campfires (wood and charcoal) are not allowed.

Cleghorn OHV Trail

 

Competitive Edge MX Park

This is an old road/trail, about 15 miles in length that eventually leads to Silverwood Lake. While the trail is rated as easy, however there are options of more difficult trails. Located in San Bernardino, it is recommended for RVs to stage at Silverwood Lake,since the other option to stage is small and narrow.

  A large and popular motocross park located in Hesperia, has four maintained and individually fenced tracks to enjoy. These tracks do not require a membership and open to the public.

Dumont Dunes

 

Glen Helen Raceway

Located in Baker, a remote area, offers more than 8,000 acres of open sand riding.
The area offers dunes for both experienced riders and beginners.
It is bordered by steep volcanic hills and the Amargosa River.

  While this venue hosts many events, it also offers practice time. Practice time is typically Thursdays 8am to dusk and most Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. It is recommended to call the raceway before you head over. (909) 880-1733

Lake Arrowhead Trails

“Johnson Valley is a varied landscape for the off-highway vehicle driver. It is punctuated by steep red rocky mountains, rolling hills, open valleys, dry lake beds and sandy washes. Elevations range from 4,600 feet at Hartwell Hills to 2,300 feet at Melville Dry Lake. The area near Anderson and Soggy Dry Lakes is used extensively for competitive racing events and OHV free play".

        This park offers several miles of smooth and fast trails, a large staging area with newer facilities and great scenery.

El Mirage Dry Lake

 

Rasor OHV Area

This dry lake is located in Adelanto. Patrons pay a fair fee to ride and play in an enormous sand "lake". “Most visitors ride motorcycles, ATVs, or tour in four-wheel drive vehicles. There is a road network in place so visitors may camp in most sections of El Mirage. This area is also used extensively for competitive racing events and commercial filming by permit”.

  "This particular area is secluded, offering several miles of sand washes and desert trails that lead to a small but fun dune area. Free access and overnight camping is permitted. Great for visitors who wish to avoid crowds".

Stoddard Valley OHV Area

 

Sunrise MX Park

"Stoddard Valley is a large open area in Barstow, with no fees and few restrictions.
The terrain primarily includes sandy washes, scrub brush, rocky hill climbs, and dry flat valleys with a few Joshua trees".

  This Hesperia motocross park offers a newly designed main track with a concrete starting gate and a separate amateur track. Usually open for practice Saturdays from 8am to 4pm.
