Winter provides a whole new list of activities we are able to partake in. From snowboarding, skiing, tubing, to snowman building, the mountains give us so much to get excited for during the winter! Our San Gabriel Mountain cities, Big Bear Lake and Wrightwood, have given us grand ski resorts. All of which have their ability to make their own snow, resulting in having the "most dependable snow conditions in Southern California".
Bear Mountain & Snow Summit
Both offer impressive ski and mountain biking resorts in Big Bear and owned by the same parent company.With partners like Red Bull, GoPro, Neff, Wahoo's, and Pepsi, it's no wonder how these resorts offer the best snow facilities! Fear not if you are a beginner, both resorts offer lessons and areas just for you.
Conveniently located in the Big Bear Lake area of the San Gabriel Mountains, Bear Mountain is probably the most ideal destination for snowboarders who are trying to improve their skills and tricks. Bear Mountain has several parks designed for that very reason, one is even named, "Skill Builder Park".
There are features designed for every rider’s specific needs. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a pro, Snow Summit terrain parks are bound to keep you entertained. In the off season, summer, Snow Summit offers a golf course, bike parks, and a scenic sky chair tour of the mountain for its patrons.

Snow Valley is located in Running Springs and relies on natural snow unlike the other resorts. Although Snow Valley has primarily been known as a day use/regional resort, the surrounding communities including Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline offer a variety of lodging options from cabin rentals, to motels, to luxury hotels. There is something for everyone and every budget.
Mt. Baldy is the largest and steepest ski resort in Southern California. 26 runs spanning three mountains covering 800 acres with 21,000 vertical feet located only minutes from Ontario and Upland.
